Mary and all of her siblings were born in Indiana.
Mary Rush married Jeptha Lawrence on June, 18, 1894 in Franklin County. They were still married and living together in Franklin County at the time of the 1900 Federal Census.
She married Alfred Jones sometime between 1910 & 1915. She was his third wife. Alfred's second wife was Mary's niece, Dora Stores Jones. Dora was the daughter of Mary's sister Adaline Rush & Daniel Stores.
According to her two obituaries found in The Ottawa Herald on Wed, Jun 4 & Sat, Jun 7, 1919, Mary lived in Franklin County, Kansas for the last 50 years of her life. She died at home and was buried in Highland Cemetery.
After examining the census records of Mary and her other Rush relatives, I believe all four of Mary's children, Albert, Calvin, Sarah "Sadie", and Nora were all born out-of-wedlock. I have no idea if they have the same father or different fathers. Albert, Calvin, and Nora can be found on findagrave.com. Sadie was born in 1880 in Kansas. She married Michael Gaither before 1907, and they were living in Kansas City, KS in 1919.
