FUNERAL SERVICE HELD TODAY FOR MRS. LAWHEAD
Funeral services were held at 10 am today for Mr. Eva Lawhead, prominent local woman and one of Bastrop's pioneer citizens. The Rev. Robert L. Peyton officiating at the services held in Blackwell-Golden Funeral Chapel. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawhead was a lifelong resident of Bastrop, having lived in the same block of West Madison all her life. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star (OES).
Mrs. Lawhead is survived by her daughter:
Dorris Lawhead Tyler (Mrs. Jack Tyler)
One sister:
Susie Turner Doublass (Mrs. Dan Douglass) of Bastrop
Two foster daughters:
Mrs. Sherwood Nesbit of Springhill
Mrs. James Stickland of Mobile, Alabama
