One of Columbia's Oldest Residents Passes
Funeral services of Mrs Georgianna Laval, one of the oldest residents of Columbia, were held at the residence, 1307 Lady Street, and the interment was in the churchyard of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs Laval was 85 years of age. She was the widow of the late William J Laval. Before marriage she was Miss Georgianna Knight, daughter of Mr and Mrs John D Knight.
Mrs Laval was a woman of many fine and lovely traits of character and she had many friends in Columbia who grieve her death.

Died Wednesday evening, September 10, in 85th year of age, Mrs Geogie Anna Laval, relict of the late William J Laval, and daughter of the late Comndr James D Knight, USN. The friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services at the residence, 1307 Lady Street this afternoon, September 11, at 6 pm. Interment First Presbyterian Churchyard.
