Mrs. Caveness was born on August 25, 1921 in Toro, LA. She passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Tyler, Texas.
She married James R. Caveness, a soldier at Fort Polk on August 7, 1942 and during his service years they visited or lived in 31 states and 18 Foreign Countries. She was a L.V.N. (Licensed Vocational Nurse and L.P.N.) for 30 years, working where her husband might be stationed. After his retirement they lived in Hornbeck, LA, and were members of various civic clubs. After Jim passed away, she moved to Leesville in 1994 and again took part in many of the civic and senior citizen clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents James Ervin & Eula Laurence and her husband of 52 years James R. Caveness.
She is survived by two brothers, James E. Laurence and Joe Howard Laurence, their families and nieces and nephews.
Services were under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
