Carmella Laubach, 87, of Alpha passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009 in the home of her daughter in Riegelsville, PA. Born October 5, 1921 in Alpha she was the daughter of the late Michael and Amelia Chicarelli Orchulli. Her husband, Ervin, died in 1978. She was a seamstress/machine operator with Gary Lee Blouse Factory in Alpha before her retirement. She enjoyed reading, cooking and magazines. Carmella was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Alpha. She is survived by a daughter Sharon and her husband, John, of Riegelsville; three sisters, Antoinette Hirsch of Forks Township, Rose Mains of Palmer Township and Fran Cregar and her husband, Harry, Jr., of Easton; and a granddaughter, Tanya Maria Wall and her fiance, John E. Knoll. Four brothers, Anthony, Sebastian "Joe-Joe", John and Joseph all died earlier. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Doyle-Devlin Funeral Home, Inc., 695 Corliss Avenue, Phillipsburg followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. in the Church, 830 5th Avenue, Alpha. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Alpha.
