Carlene (Ince) Latta, 96, of Amarillo died Friday April 17, 2015. Carlene was born August 14, 1918, in Amarillo to Carl and Louise Ince.
She lived in Amarillo until her high school years. After high school in San Francisco, she returned to Amarillo to marry the love of her life, Rodney O. Latta Jr. Together they raised their family in California, enjoying fishing, boating and travel. After retiring, they traveled coast to coast and border to border for 5 years before returning to Amarillo.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Rod; and by her 17 year-old granddaughter, Lisa Marie Kearns.
Survivors include her grandson, 3 children, a brother, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 20, 2015, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Pastor Spencer Noore officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
