Mary was a daughter to Rebecca Washburn and David Johnson. She had 4 siblings: David, Jr., Sarah, Rebecca and Isaac. She married Robert Latham on June 12, 1751 in Bridgewater. They had one child, Robert Johnson Latham. Mary died 10 days after delivering Robert but it was considered suspicious. Her husband was eventually charged with poisoning her but was cleared of the charges. Her family always believed that Robert was guilty, so Robert moved away from them. Less than 2 years later he remarried, and again, this wife died under mysterious circumstances.
