Bethia was the daughter of Bethiah Brett and Deacon Thomas Hayward. Her siblings were: Alice, Mary, Seth and Phebe. She first married Arthur Harris in 1740, in Bridgewater. He died 10 years later and Bethia became Robert Latham's 2nd wife. His first wife died from poisoning and Robert was suspected of it, but was never proven to be so. Bethia also died under mysterious circumstances and it was rumored that Robert was courting a woman during their marriage. This "other" woman would eventually become his third wife.
Bethia did not have any children with Robert.
