Elizabeth R. "Betsy" Bogdanffy, 86, of Elizaville, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. Born on August 15, 1929, in Hudson, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Hazel (Ross) Lasher. Betsy married Stephen J. Bogdanffy on October 25, 1947 in St. Paul's Episcopal Church - Tivoli, NY and he survives at home. She, along with her husband, owned and operated Feather Ridge Farm in Elizaville, NY. Betsy was well known as a hardworking, gentle woman who never had a harsh word to say to anyone. In addition to her loving husband of 68 years, she is survived by her son, Stephen Bogdanffy of Elizaville; her brother, Jack Lasher of Elizaville; her sister, Luann Cole of Saugerties; her grandchildren, Hallie Bogdanffy of Elizaville, Katie Bogdanffy of Red Hook, and Justin Bogdanffy of Red Hook, along with two great grandchildren.
