Dies At Home
Oscar Lashbrook, 81, a resident of this city since a small child, died at 112 E. Monroe Ave., at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. He was born at Butler Center, Iowa, on Oct. 16, 1876, son of Aaron and Amanda Houghton Lashbrook. He was engaged as a butcher in the early days of the city, and later operated a small farm northwest of the city until his retirement.
He was married Dec. 29, 1913 to Luella Wiltsey at Winfield. His wife died in 1917. Survivors are two nieces, Mrs. Frank Mansfield, 720 N. Fifth St., and Mrs. E. R. Herbert, Rt. 1, Newkirk; five nephews, C. A. Lashbrook and Max Lashbrook, Oklahoma City, Ralph Lashbrook, Manhattan, Roy Smith, Sacramento, Calif. and Clarence Smith, Roseburg, Ore. Arrangements for services are incomplete and will be announced by the Jess Rindt Mortuary."
