BARTON,MARYLAND -- Althea C. (Robertson) Lashbaugh, 95, of Temperance Row, Barton, and recently of the Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born March 6, 1904, in Barton, Mrs. Lashbaugh was the daughter of the late John and Helena (Lyons) Robertson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis W. Lashbaugh; her eldest daughter, Patricia A. Gowans and a brother, William G. Robertson.
She was a member of Barton United Methodist Church for more than 70 years, and was also a member of both the Barton and George's Creek Senior Citizens organizations.
Surviving are her daughter, Judith Donaldson and husband, Tim, Lonaconing; her son-in-law, Harry R. Gowans, also of Lonaconing; one brother, Harold Robertson, Keyser, W.Va.; one sister, Ruth Smith, also of Keyser; one grandson, Harry C. Donaldson, Lonaconing; one granddaughter, Catherine A. Riley and husband, John, Cumberland; one great-granddaughter, Annie Donaldson, Friendsville; three great-grandsons, Justin M. Winner, Westernport; Brady M. Donaldson, Deer Park and Jack Henry Riley, Cumberland, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Park officiating.
Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
The family requests that donations in Mrs. Lashbaugh's name be made to Barton United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
