Dorothy T. Bagger, age 84, of Ashland, died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at the Ashland Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Sept. 19, 1917, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Oscar and Wendla (Johnson) Larson.
Dorothy lived in the Ashland area as a child where her family operated a farm. She worked as a housekeeper in Chicago for a few years, and later returned to Ashland where she continued working as a housekeeper. She married Melvin "Mel" Bagger on Sept. 28, 1945, in Ashland. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1999. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ashland.
She is survived by a son, David (Barbie) Blake, Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Arlette (Rick) Olivo, Ashland, and Deborah Baxtrom, Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Sheveland, Oshkosh and Ethel Kippa, Oshkosh; a brother, Charles Larson, Ashland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and an infant sister.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the Frost Home for Funerals, Ashland, with Pastor Mikhail Kulakov officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ashland. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
