Sonja R. Green, age 84, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012. Sonja was born on June 19, 1927 to Paul Edward and Margarette (Eipel) Larisch of Berlin, Germany. Sonja will be remembered as a deeply loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Sonja and her husband of 60 years, Darrell, enjoyed traveling and seeing new places.
Sonja enjoyed dancing, bird-watching, watching TV game shows and playing "Word Search." There are not enough words to describe such an amazing lady! Sonja joins her granddaughter, Tasha Smith, parents and brother, Harry Larisch, in Heaven.
Sonja is survived by her husband, Darrell Green of Rio Rancho, NM, her children, Sandy Smith and her fiancé, Glen Canova of Cedar Crest, NM, Sharon Wilson and her husband, Carey of Tijeras, NM and Darryl Green and his wife, Shannon of Albuquerque, NM, a sister, Ethel García and her husband, Frank, grandchildren, Niki Smith, Krystine Wilson, Scott Wilson, Darrian Green, Kistian Green, Hunter Green and Elijah Green and many friends who will miss her so much.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Daniels Family Funeral Services Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. Inurnment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Rio Rancho, NM.
