Mrs. William Lantz
Mrs. Christina Lantz was born in Germany, January 28, 1841. With her husband, William Lantz and family came to Kansas in 1884. Her husband preceded her in death by eleven years. Mrs. Lantz died in the early morning of Sunday, March 18, 1928.
She was one of the pioneers who helped to make the Kansas prairies a good place to which to live. In the years of her youth and mature activity she was one of those who was never too busy to too weary to do a kindness to those in distress. She often walked miles across the prairie to attend a case of sickness, and many a life has she helped usher into this world, as she also helped to make earlier the bed of those about to leave it. Her cheerful disposition and good will were an inspiration to all who knew her. Although Mrs. Lantz had been in failing health for several years, her death was due to pneumonia.
The surviving children are Will Blenn, Otto Lantz, Mrs. Amelia Hower, Mrs. Betty Val berg, Mrs. Mattie Kinnett and Mrs. Minnie Dorhl.
