Mrs. Mary Etta Billhimer
Mrs. Mary Etta Billhimer, 82, a resident of Keezletown, died in Harrisonburg on Nov. 16, 2006.
She was born on Oct. 1, 1924, in Pendleton County, and was the daughter of the late Pearl Edward and Ethel Edna Kimble Lantz.
Mrs. Billhimer was a member of the Beulah United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school and was secretary; she also was President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary District 7, American Legion, and M.O.C.A.'s.
On Oct. 11, 1947, she married, Roy W. Billhimer, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1996.
She is survived by a son, David W. Lantz and fiancee, Krista Honke of Hampton; four grandchildren; a sister, Myrtle Viginia Shifflett of Penn Laird; a brother, Hyldren Pearl Lantz of Harrisonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov 19, 2006, at the Chapel of the Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg with the Rev. Wilton Homas officiating. Burial will follow in Keezletown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
