October 30, 1929 - May 21, 2011 Burt Lanier, 81, passed away at home on May 21, 2011. He was born on October 30, 1929 in Lone Oak, Texas to Gillie B and Jewell Lanier. He proudly served his country as a Marine Staff Sergeant. He had worked in various roles in the furniture business for over 60 years. He is survived by his wife, Velma; children, Roger, Lacy, his wife Teresa, Cathy Bewley, her husband Robert, Jacque and her husband, Scott Cardinal; grandchildren, Stacie (Aaron) Cratty, Brett, Blake (Caitlin), Beau, Baron Lanier, Cristi and Sara Bewley, and Tasha (Jeremy) Perry; two great grandchildren, Olsen and Ensey Cratty and many family and friends. Burt was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and his spirit will always be with us. Services will be Thursday, May 26 at 2:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home, Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn. This obituary was published in the Tulsa World on 5/24/2011.
