Mrs. Sara Lanier Aspinwall, age 75, died on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
The Bulloch County native was a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and Draughtons Junior College. Following college, she worked for C&S Bank, Minis and Company and The Georgia Eye Institute. She was a member of the Rincon Baptist Church and more recently attended the Brooklet Primitive Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Emory Aspinwall of Savannah, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Renee (Mike) Jernigan of Columbia, TN; a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Jessica Aspinwall of Savannah, GA; four grandchildren, Brittany Lauren Jernigan, Grant Martin Jernigan, Catherine Blake Jernigan and Sara Ryan Aspinwall; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A visitation will be held on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Elder W. H. Durrence officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Aspinwall, Elton Aspinwall, Jerry Aspinwall, Jay Rogers, Russ Rogers and John B. Lanier.
Interment will be in Brooklet City Cemetery.
