Jan 7, 1960 – Warren Langston Dies In Wenatchee
William Warren Langston 37, of 313 9th St., Wenatchee, Wash., died December 25 at 11:30 a.m. following a sudden illness.
Mr Langston was born November 6, 1922 at Wiseman, Ark. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. He was employed as a receiving clerk at the Montgomery Ward store for the past ten years.
He was a member of Wiseman Lodge No. 759 F&AM of Arkansas. He is survived by his wife, Delaphine; one son, Larry Langston of Wenatchee; his mother, Mrs Ruth Langston of Wiseman, Ark.; two brothers, Goldie Langston of Wiseman and Wayman Langston of Wenatchee and one sister, Mrs Nova Hailey of Wiseman.
Funeral services were held for Warren at Wiseman Methodist Church December 31 at 2 o'clock. Rev. Ira Wilson of Viola and Rev. Remmel Rowden of Oxford were in charge. Special song, "Nearer My God to Thee" was by Carolyn Hill, Janice Tanner and Noralyn Russell. Song service was led by W. V. Kissinger.
The pallbearers were Harold Acklin, Claude Jones, Claude Bookout, Dick Reeves, Randell McNarin, and T. C. Ward. Burial was in the Wiseman Cemetery. Carter Funeral Home was in charge.
