Stella Langley, 100, Emporia, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 1995 at Vintage Manor here.
She was born Dec. 23, 1894, near Reading, the daughter of Moses Edward and Fannie Belle Symmonds Hoyt, and spent most of her life in Lyon county. She formerly was a teacher.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Reading.
She was married to John Langley Nov. 28, 1917, in Emporia. He died April 13, 1979. She also was preceded in death by a son, Everett Langley.
Survivors include a son, Calvin Langley, Emporia,; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Langley was cremated. Memorial Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Emporia. Private inurnment will be in Phillips Cemetery northeast of Reading.
Memorial contributions may be made to the aviary fund at Vintage Manor in Emporia, 66801. Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia is in charge of arrangements.
