Tillman Langford
Tillman Anderson Langford, 77, died Oct. 4, 1991 at his home in Palm Desert, Calif.
He was the son of Anderson and Emma Ware Langford. He was born on Dec. 29, 1913, in Numa.
He spent his early years in Numa and graduated from the Centerville High School. He was a member of the Christian Church of El Cajon, Calif. He was a veteran of World War II. He served with the 425th Night Fighter Squadron in the USA, France, England and Germany. He worked as an aircraft inspector for the US government until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Langford of Palm Desert, Calif.; four sons, Richard of Washington state, James of LaMesa, Calif., Robert of Palm Desert, Calif, and John of San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Ann Sayres and Kathryn Radavich of Numa and Hazel Thompson of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27, 1991. at 1 p.m. at the Numa Cemetery with the Rev. Kay Singley conducting the services along with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 726. The body was cremated. Memorials may be made to the Numa American Legion or the Numa Community Center. Duley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
