Britton Langdon was born in Montgomery County, North Carolina to Zachariah and Rachel Bolin Langdon. Zachariah and his family followed several of his sisters and his father, James Langdon, to Owen County, Indiana. Later in life, Britton and some of his family migrated to Missouri.
