Timothy Adam Lang, 50, Perry, Kansas, and formerly of Russell, Kansas, died Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 4, 2015, from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident in Douglas County.

Tim was born December 4, 1964, in Hutchinson Kansas, to Arthur and Phyllis Lang. He was a 1983 graduate of Russell High School and served 22 total years of service with the Army and the Army National Guard, including 2 deployments during the Persian Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Tim was a man of many hats and worked along side many men and women throughout his life.

In 2002 he married Amy (Kohler) Lang and they resided in Ellis County until relocating in 2012 with the Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs. Tim was attending school at Fort Scott Community College where he would have graduated in May with an associates degree in motorcycle mechanics. The only thing better to Tim than a motorcycle was a motorcycle with his wife on it.

Tim loved to travel with Amy and also enjoyed spending time with his kids fishing, hunting and attending various sporting events. He was an early riser and loved his coffee. He loved God and was an active church member. Tim enjoyed spending time with all his friends and family and absolutely adored his grandkids. He had a servants heart and always enjoyed opening his heart and home to others. Tim was always a hard worker and it was a honor to him to serve his country. Go Bears!

Tim is survived by his wife, Amy of the home; his daughter Kayla (Lang) Acosta and her husband Carmen of Hays, KS; his three sons, Cody Lang and his wife Julie of Russell, KS, Colton Lang and his fiance Holly Dreiling of Shawnee, KS, and Jayton Hoopes of Topeka, KS; five grandchildren and one on the way; his sister Suzan (Murphy) Markiewicz of Baldwin Park, CA, and his brother Ron Wilkinson of Lake Hawusa, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lang and Phyllis Mosley and his sister Debbie Anderson.
