Mrs. Elizabeth Lang passed away at
the home of her son, Geo. J. Lang,
Tuesday evening, Sept. 20, at 11
o'clock at the age of 97 years and
seven months. Elizabeth Biereider was
born in Bavaria, Germany, in 1806, and
in 1829, was united in marriage to
Henry Lang. In 1848 they removed to
Wilton township on a farm four and
one-half miles south of Wilton, where
she had lived until her death; Mr.
Lang having preceded in death in 1872.
She leaves to mourn her loss six
children, Mrs. Eva Fisch, What Cheer,
(Ia.); Mrs. Christie Dimmit, Colby,
Kan.; Jacob Lang, Fitzgerald, Ga.,
and Nicholas, Henry and George at
Wilton; also 33 grand children and
37 great grand children. She was a
faithful member of the German
Evangelical church always attending
the meetings, if possible. Mrs. Lang
was a true friend and fond mother and
was loved and respected by all who knew
her. The funeral will be held Saturday
at 1 p.m. from the German Evangelical
church. Rev. Schwab having charge of
the services. Interment at Oakdale
cemetery.
