Ernest Alexander Langster was born September 8, 1925 to Eoline Alexander Langster and Ernest R. Langster. He died August 29, 2011. He was a Veteran of World War II. He was employed at Brookley Air Force Base and was a member of the Excelsior Band in 1940 and other dance bands that played around town. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Eva B. Langster, four brothers, Lee V. Langster, Edward Langster, Thomas Langster and Herbert Langster, nephew Alvin P. Stoutamire, Jr., and grandniece, Deanna Stoutamire. He is survived by daughter Monica Langster of Mobile, AL, son Bretlan Langster of Nashville, TN, sister Eoline Claudette Stoutamire of Mobile, AL, four grandchil-dren, a host of nieces, nephews, one devoted niece, Vanessa Stoutamire and one devoted nephew, LaMorris Stoutamire, a host of cousins and many friends. His remains will lie in state at Serenity Funeral Home on Saturday, September 3, 2011 from 10 am until 12 noon. The home going service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
