Grandma was born February 26, 1905 in Stearns County, Lake George Township, Minnesota. She was the seventh of thirteen children and the fifth daughter of my maternal great-grandmother, Anna Marie Goedker. She herself married twice, having three children in her first marriage--two sons and a daughter, my mother, the second child and only girl.
Now I only have one uncle left, Mom's older brother. She acquired three stepchildren in her second marriage to my grandfather Charles Anderson [at least he's the only one
I ever knew]. She was 80 years old when she died in March 1985, after a long, full and reasonably happy life. If I can do half as well as she did, I'll be thankful.
