OSAGE CITY-Ruby Christesen, 80, Osage City, died Thursday, June 18, 1998, in an Osage City nursing home.
Mrs. Christesen had worked for Gamba Cafe many years ago. She was born Nov. 10, 1917, in rural Osage City, the daughter of James Irving and Lena J. Thomas Lane. She attended No. 94 schools in Peterton, and she lived most her life in Osage City.
Mrs. Christesen was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Osage City and the Auxiliary to Robert Heizer Post No. 198 of the American Legion in Osage City. She married Harold R. Christesen on Feb. 28, 1938, in Osage City. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Carolyn J. Rosetta, Osage City, and Corinne M. Dubois, Burlingame; two sons, Robert H. Christesen, Osage City, and Dennis E. Christesen, Overland Park; a sister, Myrtel E. Jones, Osage City; a brother, Irving E. Lane, Denver; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Presbyterian Church in Osage City.
Burial will be in Osage City Cemetery. Mrs. Christesen will lie in state from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Crable Funeral Chapel in Osage City where relatives and friends will meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church and sent in care of the funeral chapel
