MADISON– James Curtis "Henry" Landreth, 74, of 2007-12 W. Academy St, went home to be with his heavenly father, Saturday, July 07, 2012, at home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, at Colonial Funeral Home with Reverend David Fulp and Reverend Richard Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
Mr. Landreth was born May 26, 1938, in Rockingham County. He was a member of Good News Baptist Church and retired from Burlington Industries with 42 years service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Gordon Landreth and Cassie Rumley Landreth and a brother, Ronnie Wade Landreth.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Griffin Landreth; daughters, Tammy Via (Murrell Townsend), of Mayodan, Melissa Landreth (Rick Carter), of Reidsville, and Kimberly Landreth, of Madison; brother, Paul Wesley "Mopey" Landreth, of Stokesdale, and Karen L. Hall, of Madison; three grandchildren, Courtney Smith, Susan Via, and Lindsey Smith; two great-grandchildren, Shawn and Cole Duncan, and long time faithful friend, Willie Dalton.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Sunday at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at residence.
