Mrs. Effle Mae Landreth Alderman, 83, of Galax, widow of the late Walter E. Alder­man, died In a Wythevllle hos­pital early Monday morning, April 2O, 1964. She had been In declining health for some
time. Mrs. Alderman was born in Carroll County October 18,1880, to the late Fountain Landreth and wife, Mrs. Sarah Stoneman Landreth.
Surviving are four sons, E. A. Alderman, Washington, D. C., Kelly Alderman and Gar­ner Alderman, both of Circlevllle, Ohio, and Dewey Alder­man, Woodlawn four daugh­ters, Mrs. Lura Ferguson, Xenla, Ohio Mrs. Ossie Rodrequez, Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Mavis Stone, High Point,
N.C., and Mrs. Nettle Morris, Jacksonville, Ohio, two sisters, Mrs. Troy Newman, Ga­lax, and Mrs. Amanda Smythers, Baltimore (Aberdeen), Md., and one brother, Andy J. Landreth, Galax.

Funeral services were con­ducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday,April 22, at Vaughan-Guynn Chapel by the Rev. Otte Utt, pastor of the First Bible
Church of the Brethren, and the Rev. Lonnle P. Shaw, pas­tor of Camp Zion Church. Interment was in Hebron Christian Church Cemetery. The body rested at Vau­ghan-Guynn Funeral Home prior to the services.
