"ALEXANDER LANDI New Windsor, N.Y. Alexander Landi, a 14-year resident of New Windsor, a former 8-year resident of Cornwall and former 50-year resident of Paterson, N.J., peacefully entered into rest Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at home. He was 85. The son of the late Michael and Pasqua Landi, he was born Feb. 10, 1915, in Paterson, N.J. Al enjoyed a full life. He was a hard-working and loving family man who retired at the age of 80 from a career that included farming, engineering, carpentry, millwork and antiquing. He is survived and will be truly missed by his wife, Grace, at home; two daughters, Anne 'Nonnie' Landi of Haledon, N.J. and Dawn DeLemos-Grabover of Danbury, Conn; two sons, Russ DeLemos of Windsor, Conn. and Scott DeLemos of Huntington Beach, Calif; eight grandchildren, including Alex Landi of Fairlawn, N.J. and his three sons, Al's great-grandsons Jason, Damon and Dillon; two brothers, Michael and Mario Landi, both of Paterson, N.J; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Adelade Lombardo; and two brothers, Francesco and Tulio Landi. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Andrew Florez will officiate.
