The following information provided by great grandson, Christopher, on November 1, 2010: "Great Granddad was the owner of the Lancaster Ranch, which was between the 15 Freeway and the Pala Indian Reservation, on the southside of highway 76. He was the son of pioneer Absolom Walker Lancaster, who had brought the family out in a wagon train from South Carolina. The mountain at the southeast quadrant of the 15 and 76 bears the Lancaster name, as does Lancaster Creek Road, and Lancaster Mountain Road, named for Absolom."
