Uncle Tony was the son of Italian immigrants to Argentina. His mother died when he was young, as well as a sister. His father remarried to a widow, who had children from her first marriage. Uncle Tony's father died shortly the marriage, leaving Uncle Tony with no family, except in Italy. Uncle Tony was the sole supporter of the family at age 11. When he was around 14, he wanted to purchase flowers to place at the graves of his parents on the Day of the Dead celebration. His step-mother refused, even telling him he was not to participate in the festivities. It was within 3 months, Uncle Tony stowed away on a cargo ship bound for NY. He left Argentina and never looked back.
In NY is where he met Daisy Margaret Sears at the Rosecrucian Fellowship and they married on 21 Jan 1940 in NYC. Within a year they moved to San Diego CA, and there they stayed until their deaths.
