Carmelina Pollifrone "Carmela" Carmelina Pollifrone, born near the Amalfi Coast in Nocera Superiore, Italy July 23, 1931. Carmela came to the US in 1956 and met the man she'd ultimately marry, Giuseppe Pollifrone on the ship from Naples to New York. After they were wed mom was notoriously famous for being the friendliest Avon representative in the Cambrian area for over 30 years as she ultimately befriended many customers which became lifelong friends. Mom passed on Tuesday, December 22 and will be sorely missed by so many. Carmelina is survived by two sons; Frank A. Pollifrone married to Sylvia with their two daughters Jessica, 13 and Julianna, 11 and Joseph N. Pollifrone, married to Kimi with their two daughters Milan, 16 and Micaela, 10. She is also survived by her brother, Nick Lamberti, his wife Marylou and family as well as by her sister, Consiglia Tortura of Nocera Superiore, Italy. A rosary will take place Tuesday 12/29/09 at 7:00 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery main building, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, and Funeral Mass the following morning, Wednesday 12/30/09 at 10AM CA at St Frances Cabrini, 15333 Woodard Road, San Jose, CA 95124 In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to American Heart Association .
