Mary Elizabeth (Marybeth) Lamb Decker, 42, passed away July 14, 1995, due to heart failure. Our mother, wife, friend and companion has gone home to God, parents and two daughters, Stephanie and Alison, who predeceased her.
Born March 31, 1953 in Salt Lake City to John and Edith Lamb. Married to Gary Decker of Bountiful in 1975. Graduated from West High (Salt Lake City), 1971, and Utah State University (Logan), 1975. She has worked in education, Tupperware, office work and bookselling, but enjoyed the lifestyle and responsibility of "MOTHER" best.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Gary S. Decker, and two loving sons, James Nicolas (14) and Andrew Scott (12); also by two sisters, Talma Day, West Jordan, Utah; Melinda Buchanan, Fairfield, Ill.; and a brother, John (Bud) Clemmons, Hobart, Ind.
Marybeth will be missed by her many friends from church, neighborhood, community and social activities, but her presence and influence will continue to be celebrated in the lives of her children and family.
Memorial services will be held at Redwood Memorial Estates (6500 So. Redwood Road) on Wednesday, July 19, 1995, at 7 p.m. Friends and family are invited to visit and celebrate the life of a devoted mother, wife and friend at 6:30 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends are also invited to visit at Gary's home following the service. Family graveside services will be held Thursday morning. Flowers and balloons are welcome. Living memorials or contributions may be made to the Intermountain Newborn Intensive Care Unit at the University Medical Center.
