Funeral service is 2 PM Thursday, January 31, at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, with interment to follow in the Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, Albemarle. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM tonight at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle.
Mrs. Hill was born in Randolph County, NC on November 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Etta Ferree Lamb and William Branson Lamb. She was of the Methodist faith, and had graduated from Asheboro City Schools and Elon College. Mrs. Hill was a retired secretary and purchasing agent from Sasalows Jewelry.
She is survived by her husband, Mahlon Hubert Hill, Sr. of the home; sons, Mahlon H. "Chip" Hill, Jr. of Snellville, GA and Joseph Branson Hill of Amelia Island, FL; daughter, Rana Denese Hill of Amelia Island, FL; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Southern Piedmont Chapter, 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215-3298.
