Suzanne Lamar Anderson, 68, resident of Oxford, Mississippi, retired teacher and wife of William M. (Bill) Anderson peacefully departed this life in the comfort of her home July 24, 2012.
Private Family Interment is in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
A native of New Albany, Mississippi, Mrs. Anderson was a graduate of the New Albany High School and of the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and served as Secretary and Treasurer for the Lamar Family Union Development Corporation.
She will be remembered as a dedicated Christian and devoted to her faith, family and friends.
In addition to her husband of 31 years, Mrs. Anderson leaves two sons, Dr. Robert M. (Rob) Pickering and wife, Kim of Memphis; W.M. (Andy) Anderson III and wife, Cinny of New Orleans, LA; one daughter, Sallie Kate Ray and husband, Dr. Mark Ray of Tupelo, MS; her sister, Betty Lamar Peebles and husband, Tom of Somerville, TN; two brothers, Dr. Wayne T. Lamar and wife, Patricia of Oxford, Thomas E. Lamar of Oxford; and beloved grandchildren, William Pickering, Mary Taylor Ray, Andrew Ray, Taylor Anderson and Pixie Anderson.
