Mrs. Eliza Lake, 84, of Mulberry, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Wabash Valley sanitarium, north of Lafayette, where she had been taken about a month ago when she became ill. She had been living at the home of Mrs. Nora Davis up until the time of her sickness.
The deceased was born in Tippecanoe county on January 1, 1856, the daughter of Luther and Margaret (Armstrong) Barnes. She was married to Ambrose Lake who passed away in 1937.
Surviving is one son, Ross Lake, of Oak Park, Ill.
The funeral services were held at 1:30, Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. Carl C. Bosse officiating. Burial was in the Salem cemetery near Stockwell.
