Audrey Mae Lahrman, 84, of Lafayette, passed away at 3:01 am Monday, December 15, 2014 at St. Elizabeth East.

She was born April 3, 1930, in Mattoon, IL, to the late George and Helen Inman Short.

After graduating from Dayton High School, she married Robert C. Lahrman on June 8, 1948 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He passed away April 4, 2004

Audrey was a member of St Lawrence Catholic Church, the Ladies Night Out, Charm and Chatter Home Ec Club, Wea Willing Workers, and Farm Bureau. She enjoyed sewing, reading, quilting, gardening and arranging flowers.

Surviving are her children Nancy Hankins (Glenn), Linda Moore (Kent), Bob Lahrman (Elaine), Jim Lahrman (Lisa) all of Lafayette and Jane Polley (Mike) of Montery, TN. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a brother Donald Short.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with Rosary service starting at 4:45 on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909. A Mass of Christian Burial will start at 10:00 am at St Lawrence Catholic Church, 1916 Meharry St Lafayette, IN 47904 with Fr. Steven Duquaine officiating. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
