Marie LaForge nee Moffat, 97, a lifelong resident of Lakewood, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008.
She was born Aug. 3, 1911.
Survivors include her children, Jeannette (Darrell) Everett and Marilynn (Dick) Vogelman; her grandchildren, Amy (Robert) Pape, Brian (Jennifer) Vogelman, Vanessa (Steve) Everett-Kotyza and Brett Everett; her great-grandchildren, Andy Pape, Emily Pape, Allison Pape, Cassie Everett and Jake Everett; and her nephews, Bob Frenz and Jeff Moffat.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John LaForge; her parents, George and Mary (Peterson) Moffat; her sister, Anna Frenz; and her brother, George Moffat.
The visitation will be from 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, until the service at 5 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake. The Rev. Arn Schaper will officiate.
Entombment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Cary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marie's name may be directed to Helping Paws Animal Shelter, 2500 Harding Lane, Woodstock, IL 60098 or Boxer Rebound Inc., P.O. Box 214, Ringwood, IL 60072.
