HELEN MARIE ELLIS, 94, died on Saturday, May 3, 2014 in her home at Adams Place. She was a lifelong resident of Munford, TN until 2002, when she moved to Murfreesboro, TN. Helen Graduated from Portageville High School. Soon after graduation, she married Robert Littleton Ellis of Munford, TN. The couple soon moved to Munford, TN where whey lived until 2002. Helen was a member of Munford United Methodist Church in Munford. Helen was a devoted wife to her husband and devoted mother to her children, and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. She was a devoted friend and inspiration to her brothers and sister, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Littleton Ellis, brothers, Harold LaFont and James "Buddy" LaFont both of Portageville, MO, and sister, Betty Haddad of Millington, TN. She is survived by her daughter, Georgeanne Ellis Easley and son-in-law Mack Easley of Smyrna, TN, son, Charles Robert Ellis and daughter-in-law, Norma Ellis of Murfreesboro, TN, son Gary LaFont Ellis and daughter-in-law Colby Ellis of Brentwood, TN and sister in law, Carolyn Murphy of Munford, TN. Helen had seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at a catered reception Tuesday, May 6 , 12 p.m. until the Service at 2 p.m. at Munford Chapel. Interment to follow in Helen Crigger Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be sent to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
