Died 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1996, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 61, a native of Pike County, Miss., and resident of Jarreau.

Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, 5 to 9 p.m. Friday. Visiting at First Baptist Church, New Roads, 9 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Greg Clark and the Rev. Freddie Rodrigue. Graveside services at Hollywood Cemetery, McComb, Miss., at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Survived by husband, Billy J.Prescott, Jarreau; a daughter and son-in-law, Jan and J.W. Whiddon, Baker; three stepdaughters and two sons-in-law, Donna Prescott and Ken Odom, Poultney, Vt., Jamie and Mark Branch, Jackson, and Kara Prescott, Baton Rouge; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronnie Lafferty, Walker, and Jeff and Lori Lafferty, Virginia Beach, Va.; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Allen and Terri Prescott, Milpitas, Calif.; three sisters, Annette Dicus, Decatur, Texas, Dorothy Johnston and Jonell Myers, both of McComb; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Robert and Adam Whiddon, Shane, Caleb, Missy, Jennifer and Jordan Lafferty; and four stepgrandchildren, Laura Morris, Brian and Beth Ann Branch and James Prescott.

Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Robert Lafferty; a brother; and a sister.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, New Roads.
