VIRDEN - Virginialee Hilbert, 64 of Virden, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Monday August 17, 2009 at a family residence.
Virginialee was born June 10, 1945 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Ralph & Norma (Neal) Lackey. Virginialee married Gene Hilbert on July 30, 1979, in Virden, IL; he precedes her in death.
Virginialee worked for the R & R Bindery in Virden.
Virginialee is survived by daughters Cheryl (David) Knudson of Thayer, IL, Penny Ann (Scott) Yemm of Virden, IL, Christine (Reid) McClintock of Chatham, IL; brothers Ralph Lackey of Auburn, IL, and Jerry Lackey of MO; sisters Inez Shelton and Lois Stewart, both of Auburn, IL; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Virginialee is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Hilbert; and infant sister, June Lackey.
Visitation will be Thursday August 20, 2009 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home in Virden, IL. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 20, 2009, at the funeral home with the Rev. John Huxtable officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment will be in the Virden Cemetery.
