Lifelong Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan resident Cecelia Elizabeth Kalkhoff, 89, died May 1, 2008, at Medilodge of Sterling Heights, Macomb County, Michigan.
Mrs. Kalkhoff was born Aug. 29, 1918 in Grosse Pointe Farms to Columbus and Cecelia Labadie and attended Grosse Pointe High School.
Other than for a short period after she was newly married, Mrs. Kalkhoff lived her entire life on Muir Road, having moved across the street from the home in which she grew up. She loved the Pier — what is now known as Pier Park. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church.
Mrs. Kalkhoff was a wife, mother and homemaker, who enjoyed reading and playing cards, and was a devoted fan of the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers.
She was survived by her daughter, Ann Lynn (Ralph) Bushman; sons, William F. (Ginger), Ted (the late JoAnn) and Mike (Mary Ellen); son-in-law, Dennis Currier; grandchildren; Christine, Bill, Matthew, Kathleen, Kelly, Valerie and Jeff; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Blake, Kyle, Hameeda and Andrew.
She was predeceased by her husband, William; and daughter, Patricia Currier.
