Gloria worked as the deputy city clerk for the town of Hinckley, Minnesota retiring after 18 years. She was talented in all types of handcrafts, a member of the Red Hat Society and she started a local Parkinson's disease support group. Gloria enjoyed traveling, playing cards, baking and visiting with her family and many friends. She is survived by her beloved husband of 17 years, Edward "Ed" Adolf LaVictoire. Ed and Gloria were married on May 23, 1998, at the First Lutheran Church in Hinckley, MN. She is also survived by her three children (by her 1st husband Malvern Windell Ward) Annette Dawn Ward, Sandra "Sandy" June Ward Greenly, and James Norman Ward; five grandchildren, KC Lee Greenly, Crystal Dawn Greenly, McKenzie Leigh Greenly, Cameron James Ward and Shawna Leigh Ward; two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Daniel "Dan" Lee Christensen, Milton "Milt" Curtis Christensen-St.Clair, and sister, Marlene Kate Christensen Wisner; three stepdaughters, two step-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Glen Clifford Christensen and Violet Viola (nee Makie) Christensen, and her brothers, Clifford Glen "Cliff" Christensen, Gerald Anton "Jerry" Christensen and Kenneth Knud "Ken" Christensen.

"Bitsy" Gibson Christensen Wagner (widow of Clifford Glen "Cliff" Christensen, Gloria's late brother) of the following information through Findagrave message/email: "My dad (Edward A. "Ed" LaVictoire) specifically split his ashes to separate his burial with my mom (Marian A. Hendrickson LaVictoire), with some ashes that were buried with Gloria in Sandstone."
