Watertown- The prayer service for Evelyn S. Chase will be at 9:15 am Thursday, January 17, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral home, with a 10am funeral mass following at St. Patrick's Church, Rev. Donald Robinson officiating. Calling hours will be 5 pm - 7 pm Wednesday, January 16, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the spring at North Watertown Cemetery.
Evelyn passed away January 12 at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had been a resident since June.
Evelyn was born in Watertown July 30, 1928, a daughter to William and Christie Ritchie LaMora. She was educated locally, graduating from Watertown High School. She worked for over 30 years as an inspector at Bomax/Gould, Watertown.
A marriage to Ernest Aubin ended in divorce. She would later marry John Chase. Mr. Chase passed away in 1985.
Evelyn enjoyed gardening, birds, crocheting & embroidery.
Surviving are a daughter, Janice (Ricky) Helmer, Dexter; 5 sons, Barry (Robin) Aubin, Harrisville, Bryan (Rhonda) Aubin, Missouri, Timothy (Linda) Aubin, Kansas, David (Candance) Aubin, Oregon, John Aubin, Gouverneur; as well as 12 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Evelyn is pre-deceased by 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
