Mrs. Gladys C. Ashline, 71, died at an early hour this morning in a local nursing home after a long peroid of ill health.
She was the wife of the late Edward Ashline, and a former employee of Union Carbide Consumer Products Corporation, retiring in 1958.
Mrs. Ashline was born in Huntington Aug. 7, 1899, daughter of the late Paul and Emma (Machabee) LaForce.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Theresa) Tatro of St. Albans; six sons, Cleon of St. Louis, Mo., Edward of South Burlington, Robert of Colchester, Harold of Griffith Air Force Base, Rome N.Y., Dwynne of Charleston, S.C., and Donald of St. Albans., two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Goddette of Jewell City, Conn., and Mrs. Lillian Pariseau of Burlington; 20 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Until the hour of the funeral Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, friends may call at the Driscoll and Moran Memorial, 156 North Main St., tonight from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Interment will be in the family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery. T.J. Moran is the funeral director.
