Mrs. Charles F. Ludwig, 79, of 919 Wilson St., Manitowoc, died early Friday
morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. She had been ill six months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John United Church of Christ,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Ludwig, the former Louise Sauncy, was born May 25, 1887, at Greenleaf,
Brown County, daughter of the late William and Sophia Bonsack Sauncy. She
attended rural school near Greenleaf and later moved to Oconto with her parents.
She was married to Charles F. Ludwig June 23, 1908, at Abrams, Oconto County.
They lived several years at Suamico and Oconto before coming to Manitowoc.
Mrs. Ludwig is a member of St. John Church. Her husband died in 1954.
Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Paul Kollath, and a grand-child, Mrs. Theodore
Arndt, of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Sunday until
11 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will
lie in state from noon until time of service.
Memorials may be made to St. John Church.
