Mrs. John E. Ludwig Sr., 71, of ..(2 lines underinked/unreadable)..Hospital,
Manitowoc, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Reformed Church, Manitowoc,
with the Rev. A.C. Fischer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Amelia Wagner was born March 10, 1886, in the Town of Eaton, daughter
of the late Lewis and Johanna Baeckman Wagner. She was married to Mr. Ludwig
Nov. 25, 1908, at Manitowoc, where the couple always resided.
Surviving her are the husband; four daughters, Mrs. Alex Kaminski, Mrs. John Mix,
Mrs. William Rath and Mrs. Clinton Gilmore of Manitowoc; three sons, Milton,
Kenneth and John Jr., of Manitowoc; five brothers, Frank, Lewis, Edward and
William of Manitowoc and Ernest of Dykesville, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertram
Peters of Manitowoc and Miss Lydia Wagner, of Chippewa Falls; and 16 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m.
Tuesday until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church where
the body will lie in state until the hour of services.
