GULFPORT, Miss. — William "Oliver" Larimer of Gulfport, Miss., formerly of Tazewell, Va., died July 26, 2012, only two weeks shy of his 77th birthday. Born and raised in Tazewell, Va., he passed away in Gulfport, Miss. where he resided since 1977. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired senior electronics technician for the Federal Civil Service (NAVOCEANO).
Oliver was preceded in death by his parents, William G. Larimer and Flora Bell Asbury Larimer Vermillion, and his younger brother, Joseph D. Larimer.
Survivors include Oliver's beloved wife of 50 years, Saipin Larimer from Pratchinburi, Thailand; four daughters, Sandra Stewart and husband, Rick of Old Hickory, Tenn., Nancy "Jeannie" Sexton and husband, Donald of Gulfport, Miss., Jacqueline Seavey and husband, John of Long Beach, Miss., and Samantha Sampson of Egg Harbor, N.J.; eight grandchildren, Brett Stewart, Wade Stewart, Charles "Chuck" Sexton, Sara Sexton-Pilgreen and husband, Austin, Sydney Pedersen, Erik Pedersen, Marisa Sampson, Garrett Sampson; three great-grandchildren, Violet Batman, Isabel Batman, and Samuel Pilgreen.
Oliver will be laid to rest beside his parents on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012. A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. at the family burial site at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Va. with the Reverend Greg Wood officiating.
