Hester KYLE's family line has been traced back to Ireland. The family landed in mid 1700's in Virginia. Hester's family made their way out to western Virginia, and on 3/3/1811, it is said she married Isaac Briscoe in Hawkins County, Tennessee. Hester/Isaac and family moved in 1830 to Missouri, and then in late 1845, the family again packed up for one more move to Kaufman County, Texas. Hester outlived husband, Isaac, and several children. She died May 21, 1867 and was buried beside her husband in the Briscoe/Willow Springs Cemetery near Forney. Hester, along with her husband and several of their family, is considered a true Pioneer of Kaufman County, Texas and family is recognized as such on the Kaufman County "Wall of Honor" at the Kaufman County Library, Kaufman, Texas.
