She was born on April 24, 1910, in Hobson in Karnes County, Texas, to Joseph and Mary (Gebauer) Kunz.
Thresa was preceded into heaven by her parents; her husband Ray; an infant daughter, Rita Raylene; and all of her siblings.
Her daughters, Mary Janice and Jo Alta Barnett, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends survive her.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, in the Triska Funeral Home in El Campo with the Rev. Bruce Frazier officiating.
In lieu of the usual memorials, the family asks that you contact your elected officials, local, state, and national, and demand a total overhaul of the country's nursing home system.
